Fall weather is finally here in Myrtle Beach and the season is winding down. The spring and summer of 2021 was an active one and the beach finally saw the regular tourism that it was used to seeing before the covid pandemic. Now that the weather is cooling off and the holiday season is upon us, we are going to talk about 5 golf-related activities to do during the off-season for Myrtle Beach golf.
5) Top Golf
Top Golf is always a fun and exciting way to get some swings in without having to visit a course or a range. Not only can you play multiple golf games, but they have a bar, lawn games, multiple televisions, and great food. Top Golf is also an activity you can do matter what the current weather is like. Hot, cold, rain, or snow you can enjoy a good chunk of time at Top Golf. Each booth has a TV set up with tables and couches so that there is enough room for everyone in your group. There is also a fan setting so that you can change the temperature of your booth depending on the weather.
4) PGA Superstores
In Myrtle Beach, there is an abundance of PGA Superstores to shop and visit. These stores will have anything and everything you need golf-wise. From clubs, balls, shoes, gloves, and outfits, you can find pretty much everything at one of these superstores. Along with the merchandise, these stores offer club fittings and club repairs. Most PGA superstores offer personal lessons on their golf simulators. It can be a great way to better your game on a rainy day when courses are closed or something fun to shop at when you need some new golf attire.
3) Mini Golf
Yes, Myrtle Beach is known as being the golf mecca of the world. But did you know that our mini golf is just as good? Myrtle Beach is home to 50 total mini-golf courses that spread throughout the Grand Strand area. This is popular among tourists, but can still be a fun activity for people during the off-season. With themes such as pirates, volcanoes, dinosaurs, and more, you will never get bored of testing your putting skills on some fun-filled mini golf courses.
2) Plan a trip!
This one might not be for the people that are down here in Myrtle Beach during the offseason, but one of the most exciting things you can do is plan your next Myrtle Beach golf trip! The Grand Strand area offers over 100 golf courses to choose from and Myrtle Beach Golf Authority is here to help you plan! We offer great deals on golf packages that include accommodations all over the beach. The off-season is the best time to plan your next trip down here so that you have something to look forward to in 2022!
Believe it or not, the golf season never truly ends in Myrtle Beach! We are lucky enough to have weather that allows courses to stay open throughout the year. Yes, it does get cold in the winter but that has never stopped a true gamer! During the winter, you could play a new course every day and never repeat the same one twice. The courses are usually a little bit more open, and greens fees are not as expensive as they are in the dead of the summer. If you can handle some chilly weather, then winter golf in Myrtle Beach is for you!
