My husband and I recently had the privilege of being invited to participate in a golf outing at Magnolia Greens Golf Course.  The weather was perfect, the golf course was in outstanding condition and the day could not have been more pleasant.  A big thanks to PGA professional Rick Farrell and his entire staff for the wonderful experience.

The original eighteen holes, known as the Championship Course, was designed by noted golf course architect Tom Jackson.  A par 72 course, it features generous Bermuda fairways and large, Champion Bermuda greens.  The course features five sets of tees on each hole, allowing the golfer to play the course at a length that fits his or her skill level.  Numerous water hazards and bunkers are strategically located to offer plenty of challenge for the more accomplished player.  The Championship Course has been the site of many outstanding tournaments including four PGA Tour qualifying events.

The Azalea Course, also designed by Tom Jackson, is a nine hole course that offers something for every golfer.  From the “back tees” it offers a challenge equal to that of the Championship Course.  However if you want to play a course that’s a little less demanding, and enjoy a low-key, stress free round, play the “Short Tees”.  From these tees every hole plays as a par three.  The Azalea Course is great for lots of different caliber golfers, from the expert player, to the casual, once-a-month foursome, to the beginner looking for a place to learn the game.
